Conditions of Use

In Production / Out of Production Status

On this website, ‘in production’ implies that the item is still in production but that it may not necessarily be available right away for immediate shipping.  Past the initial 25 castings of any new release, all our products are now manufactured upon reception of orders.

‘Out of production’ implies that the item is currently out of production.  We welcome inquiries about the future availability of those items, and may indeed decide to bring any item back into production at some stage.

Order Processing

An automated e-mail acknowledgement will be sent to you once your order has been received.  We will then contact you (usually via e-mail) to confirm reception of your order and afterwards the imminent shipping of your order.  As stated above, in order to minimise stock levels, and past the initial batch of 25 castings of any new release, our products are manufactured following reception of orders.  We will do our very best to ensure that your order is processed and posted as soon as possible but please do keep in mind that all our casting work is outsourced and that delays may occur.  We will acknowledge your order within a few hours and offer a likely shipping date.  Almost all orders are posted between 2 to 14 days after reception of the order.

Partial Deliveries

In case of long delay affecting one or several ordered items, we may decide to split any order in two or more parcels, with additional postage costs covered by RetrokiT.  As our products are cast or tailor-made following receipt of orders, you may not withdraw from the contract passed between yourself and RetrokiT when you send in your order via our website (or e-mail) – UK Consumer Contracts Regulations Act of 13 June 2014-.  However we are happy to offer refunds (or part-refunds) if you or we feel that the waiting for any particular item has been too long.

P&P charges

EU (including EFTA countries and European micro-states) Buyers
Shipping to any EU (European Union) country (including European Free Trade Association states – Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland – and European microstates – Monaco, Andorra, San Marino, Vatican -) is charged by the size of the largest item of the order. We apply a 6.00 euros postage fee to any order solely containing ‘small bagged items’; an intermediate postage fee of 8.00 euros applies to orders containing any number of ‘large bagged items’, while any order containing any number of ‘boxed-up’ kits will see the postage fee go up to 10.00; a 4.00 euro fee applies to orders with decals only; finally, any order with over 100 euros of goods get posted free of charge. As we keep our stock levels to a minimum, our products are generally produced upon receipt of orders, meaning that we aim to ship all orders, first class (airmail) within 3 weeks.  We will contact you shortly after your order in order to give you an estimated delivery date.

Rest of the World Buyers
Shipping outside the EU (EU plus EFTA countries and European micro-states) is charged by the size of the largest item of the order.  We apply a 8.00 euros postage fee to any order solely containing ‘small bagged items’; an intermediate postage fee of 10.00 euros applies to orders containing any number of ‘large bagged items’, while any order containing any number of ‘boxed-up’ kits will see the postage fee go up to 15.00 euros; a 5.00 euros postage fee applies to any order with decals only; finally, any order with over 100 euros of goods get posted free of charge.  As we keep our stock levels to a minimum, our products are generally produced upon receipt of orders, meaning that we aim to ship all orders, first class (airmail) within 3 weeks.  We will contact you shortly after your order in order to give you an estimated delivery date.

Shipping

Most of our goods are shipped through the excellent Belgian postal service (BPost) but we reserve the right to use, time to time, other national or private postal services.  Once posted, parcels and their content become the responsibility of the buyer.  Although most orders are sent without tracking number, buyers can request from us a proof of posting that we will e-mail them.  If it is felt a more secure form of posting is required by the customer, it is up to him/her to contact us and request (and if necessary, pay for) a different type of service (international signed for, recorded, registered, courier,..).  In case of issues with the postal service, the buyer should first contact their own national postal service although we will gladly assist them in locating/recovering their parcel.  Please note that as a rule we do not post between the 15th and the 31st of December included.

 

Returns

As our products are cast or tailor-made following receipt of orders, you may not withdraw from the contract passed between yourself and RetrokiT when you send in your order via our website (or e-mail) – UK Consumer Contracts Regulations Act of 13 June 2014-.  However in special cases, following any complaint from any customer, we may accept returns (or exchanges).  Although most of our products are shipped from Belgium, we normally ask for the returned goods to be shipped to:

RetrokiT, 1 Buckholt Lane, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex TN39 5AU, United Kingdom.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs related to the return of the goods.

Liability

Once posted, the goods become the responsibility of the customer; any issues with the postal service should be first directed to the customer’s own postal service authorities.

RetrokiT being a UK-registered company, any legal issue will be treated and resolved through the UK legislation and Courts

Custom Charges

RetrokiT can not accept any liability for any custom charge levied by the customer’s local custom authorities.
