The FB bots have struck us down from their domain for allegedly not meeting their community standards.. While we regroup and study alternatives, this page will become our main ‘news outlet’. This is a setback, yes, not the first one we have experienced over the past 21 years, but there are benefits of not being tied to FB, ‘extra time to design new patters’ being one of them!
Our latest 1/72 aircraft set is now out, it is a cockpit for the old Airfix Short Skyvan. This Airfix kit dates back to, in our opinion, the best days of the original Airfix company and this Short Skyvan is not the last of their kit we plan to ‘deal with’ in the future. Their Brtitten Norman Islander should be our next project. But we have other kits and other brands in our sights for this growing 1/72 range that will mainly deal with civilian and light aviation. One of those is the recently released KP SAAB Safir: we are adapting the set we created for the Heller kit for this newer kit. If you have any ideas or suggestions for this 1/72 RetroWings range, feel free to let us know!
Speaking of new releases, our latest World War Toons conversion, the Flakpanzer IV Ostwind, is out too! You will obviously need the Meng Pz IV kit to obtain your Ostwind; the turret is made of two parts joining in the middle and the weapon inside consists of 9 more resin parts, a good base for adding extra details if you so wish. We have two conversions ready for the WWT Chaffee kit ready to be cast, while we are designing a couple of Marder III conversions for the Pz38(t). Those should take us to the end of 2026 already.
In the works, a new bunch of Bananaaas! that will be released over the next twelve months, up until a certain special date early May 2027.. The patterns of some of those were already on show in Lingen, Germany about a month ago, and they attracted a lot of attention. Plans are being made to release a new 1/72 AFV kit too… More on that later!
Speaking of shows, we have two coming up quickly now, both in Belgium, first in Seraing near Liège, a show organised by Jemeppe Modelism, and a week later that of Amay Modeles Club in Huy, a little bit further from Liège.
This is it for now, Folks. Pass on the message regarding good ‘ole FB, we are not dead, just investigating new ways to get our messages out there. Until then, keep on scale modelling!
